We left Abingdon on Tuesday morning in bright warm sunshine and had one of our best boating days of the last 11 years. The Thames meanders along through Clifton Hampden, Little Wittenham, Shillingford and Benson. You feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere with just the river and wildlife for company. The icing on the cake being that there were moorings at Wallingford Bridge and at only £5 per night.
Compared to yesterday - today has been the pits-it started raining at 10.30 and has only just started to ease up-fire has been alight all day. Tomorrow looks better and hopefully the rain will not impact on the river flows- we are going to head for Beale Park near Pangbourne.
