Mooring near Henley Sailing Club

Monday, 18 May 2015

A bit of a catch up now that I have a broadband signal. There are some pictures of Pangbourne Meadows in lovely warm sunshine. In fact it was the first time on this trip that we have sat outside and watched the world go by and then had dinner in the cratch. We moved on from here and cruised in sunshine last Sunday through Reading and  Shiplake Lock and moored just past Henley Sailing Club on some free 24 hour moorings. Simon, Debbie and Dee and Mike managed to find us bringing a cream tea which was well received and a lovely surprise.

Pangbourne Meadows mooring with Whitchurch Toll Bridge in the distance

The mooring from the bridge - we are in the middle by the big white boat

Trip boat from Reading turning just before the toll bridge

Our mooring near Henley SC- the lockie said opposite the posh houses

Watching the sailing from the cratch, they must have had about 6 races during the afternoon

A river taxi perhaps!

Just another riverside house

The very plain entrance to The Kennet & Avon Canal at Reading
A herd of alpaca!
