Now at Thrupp which must have the nicest service block

We were last in Thrupp in April 2010 on our way to the Kennet & Avon Canal. Since then the Thrupp Canal Cruising Club has two new wardens Flick & Adam who together with other club volunteers have transformed the site. They offer a warm welcome and will try and fit you in somewhere if all the visitor moorings are full up. This is always useful to know as there are not very many good moorings between Thrupp and the Thames

I first thought this was your normal unusual boat name 

but alas it seems to be a thriving new business- last night there were 4 groups!- note in log to avoid Saturday nights

Now this came through Thrupp this evening rather slowly- the main engine had seized and by the looks of it this arrangement has been in place for a while.
